I have driven past this park probably hundreds of times, but I've never actually taken my kids to play here before. I feel kinda bad for my prejudice now. It's a fun little park.I guess the fact that it's right by a fairly major road had me a little hesitant, but it does have a fence around it, so I didn't have any trouble keeping the kids out of the road.
I'm not sure what this thing was, but it had a lot of different things on it that lent itself to a lot of different imaginative play. At one moment it was a grocery store, and then a hair cutting place, and then a clock factory. It's amazing to see how quickly the imagination can jump from one thing to another.
This park did have a little pavilion and a picnic table so at least offered some shade, although I eventually opted to park myself up on the playground where there was also some good shade.
Any park that has these is always a hit. My kids hop across avoiding alligators or trying not to fall in lava. I love that this park had so many different things that brought out their imaginations.
Andrew calls this the bouncy bridge, and had lots of fun just running back and forth over it.
This toy was my favorite. There were three of them: a skateboard, a surfboard, and a wake board. I'm not sure why all of the pictures ended up on the skateboard, they did play on all of them. First they had fun trying to balance on the wobbly boards, then it eventually turned into a teeter-totter. I have to admit, I had to get up and do a little surfing of my own. It was fun!
This park also had swings although my kids didn't swing much on them, it was good to know we had that option, no baby swings though. The slides were pretty steep at this park, but there were so many other fun things to do, that the kids didn't even miss not going down the slides. I wish there were some grass, but for such a small park, I guess that's not really an option. I think we will definitely be back to this park more often.
