Andrews Park

Today is Memorial Day, but since Daddy has to work, we're not really planning on doing anything for it. Instead we began our summer of parks. This was the perfect one to start with, not only because it comes first in the alphabet and was therefore at the top of the list, but also because it got my son Andrew excited about it. He is three and is beginning to recognize his name, so he was super excited to see his name on the sign... not that you can tell by the picture.

I like that there are a lot of different things to climb on at this park, the boys had a lot of fun with that.

This little toy was a big hit. They turn the wheel which rotates a panel inside with a couple of balls. They had lots of fun bouncing the balls around, and trying to get the balls through the holes.

I think one of the worst parts of this park are how steep the slides are. Andrew went down the slides only once and refused to go again because it was "very scary." Deano went down a few times, but ended up hitting his head on the side as he went down and wasn't very happy about that.
I also did not like that there is no shade at this park. There is no where to conveniently lie down a blanket for a baby to play on, or even to just get out of the sun. There are however, swings, which so few of the parks I've been to recently have, so that was nice.  This was Isaac's first time in a swing, and I don't think he ever really decided if he liked it or not.
